1) Women's World Cup - Third Place Game and Final, Sat. 10 July 1999, Rose Bowl, Pasadena, Calif.
Brazil's shootout victory over a dominating Norway team set the stage for the final conflict of the 1999 World Cup: China and US. More than 91,000 fans watched as 90 minutes of regulation and 30 munutes of overtime resulted in a 0-0 tie. This was more a result of spectacular goalkeeping and defense than any lack of offense.
